They, the iron (EU) and clay (UN), combine in the seed of men

(the divided kingdom) - the last secular kingdom.

41  “In that you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but it will have in it the toughness of iron, inasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with common clay.

42 “As the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle.

43 “And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery. - Dan. 2:41-43 NASB

The Gospel of The Kingdom Will Be Preached To All Nations And Then The End Will Come

  • 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." - Matt. 24:4-14 NKJV

Two Symbols - The Image And The Beast

Two Symbols That Represent Major Kingdoms Leading To The Return of Jesus

There Is A Break After The Roman Empire In Both Symbols During The Jewish Diaspora

The Two Symbols Resume When Israel Became A Nation Again In 1948

The Image With Five Parts (Kingdoms)                                                      The Beast With Seven Heads (Kingdoms)

The Feet Reveal That The Last Kingdom Is Made Up of Two Powers        The Two Heads Reveal That The Last Kingdom Has Two Phases

                                                     Daniel 2                                                                                      Revelation 12,13,17 And Daniel 7

Understanding The Two Symbols

It has been said that Israel is God's time clock. That is rather obvious in the symbols of the statue, and the beast, as well as the prophecy of the 70 weeks of Daniel 9. All three ignored the period from the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD and the dispersions of Jews until Israel became a nation again in 1948.

  1. The statue in Daniel 2 reveals that the last secular kingdom is made up of two powers. The gold head of the image represented Babylon. The iron legs represented the Roman Empire. The iron and clay feet symbolized the last kingdom before the return of Jesus Christ. The break in time came after the Roman Empire. When Israel began in 1948 the major international power was the UN. This was the clay part of the feet. Later the EU, represented by the iron in the toes, came into existence and began working with the UN through an enhanced membership in the UN. Thus the two-part kingdom that will exist when Jesus returns came into existence. The stone that fell on the feet of the statue and broke it into pieces represents the kingdom of God.

  2. The beast with seven heads (kingdoms) and 10 horns (authorities) reveals that the last kingdom has two phases that are separated by a period of wounding. The first phase is symbolized by the seventh head. The last phase is represented by the eighth head that only lasts for 3-1/2 years. It seems that we are in the beginning of the wounding. In Revelation 17:10 when it says "one is" it is speaking of the Roman Empire because it was the kingdom (king) in existence when Revelation was written. When it says "and the other has not yet come" it also reveals that only one secular kingdom is left. The break came after the Roman Empire and ends with the seventh kingdom.

  3. The seventy weeks of Daniel in Daniel 9:24-27 is a period of sevens of years that speaks of the Jews and Jerusalem. Each year have 360 days and each month having 30 days. In verse 26 it says that Messiah (Jesus) will be cut off (crucified). Then it says that the people of the prince to come (antichrist) will destroy the city will destroy the city and the sanctuary. This happened in 70 AD. Then in Daniel 9:27 it says he (the antichrist) will confirm a covenant for one week (seven years). In the middle of the week In the middle of the seven years) he will end the sacrifice and offering. So there is a break in time from 70 AD until the seven year covenant is confirmed. Then he (the antichrist) will set up the abomination of desolation in the middle of the seven years. This is the beginning of great tribulation (Matt. 24:15-22).

The term king or kingdom can be used interchangeably. See Daniel 2:37-38, Revelation 17:10

The Image With Five Parts

  2. Persian                               The Silver Chest & Arms
  3. Greek                                  The Bronze Belly And Thighs
  4. Roman                                The Iron Legs

  5. Divided Kingdom               The Iron And Clay Feet  (EU-UN)

The Kingdom of God          The Stone That Crushes The Statue And Fills The Earth

The Dream of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon

  •     31 “You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome.
32 This image’s head was of fine gold,
its chest and arms of silver,
its belly and thighs of bronze,
    33 its legs of iron,
its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.
34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
                                  Daniel  Interprets Nebuchadnezzar's Dream
36 “This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king.
              1. Babylon
37 You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; 38 and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all—you are this head of gold.
              2. Persia or Medo-Persia
39 But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another,
              3. Greece
a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth.
              4. Rome
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.
             5. Divided Kingdom - EU-UN
41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.
              The Kingdom of God
44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” - Dan. 2:31-45 NKJV

The statue is important because of two things:

  1. The iron and clay feet represent the last secular kingdom before the kingdom of God is established on the earth.
  2. The last secular kingdom is made up of two parts, the iron and the clay.

This symbol begins with Babylon when Babylon captured Jerusalem. The iron legs represented the Roman Empire. There was only one secular kingdom left after the Roman Empire. It was represented by the iron and clay feet. When the stone hit the statue on its feet the statue crumbled. Then the stone, representing the kingdom of God, filled the earth.

The clay in the feet represents the UN. A kingdom where men (representatives) come together for international concerns. Clay is a symbol for man. The iron in the feet represents the EU because iron in the legs represented the Roman Empire - a European based power.

The Beast With Seven Heads (Kingdoms) And Ten Horns (Authorities)

Revelation 17:10-12 Reveals That The Last Secular Kingdom Has Two Phases: The Seventh And The Eighth Heads

The Ten Horns (Authorities) Are On The Seventh And Eighth Heads

Revelation 17

  • 7 But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.
10  "There are also seven kings.
    Five have fallen,
              1. Egyptian
              2. Assyrian
             3. Babylonian
             4. Persian
             5. Greek

    one is,
             6. Roman
The Jewish diaspora takes place from 70 AD when Jerusalem was destroyed until Israel became a nation again in 1948.
and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time."
             7. EU-UN       w/10 Horns     The UN began in 1945, The EU received an enhanced membership in 2011. The iron is in the toes (Daniel 2).
11 "And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition." - Rev. 1 7:10-11 NKJV
             8. EU-UN       w/10 Horns

Revelation 13 reveals that one of the heads was mortally wounded (the seventh) and became the eighth when it was healed. When the wound was healed the kingdom only lasts for 3-1/2 years. This period is also the last half of the seven year Jerusalem covenant (Dan. 9:27, Matt. 24:15-22.

  • 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” 5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. - Rev. 13:3-5 NKJV

                  7.  EU-UN w/10 Horns   --   The Wounding   --   8.  EU-UN w/10 Horns (lasts 3-1/2 years)

The 10 horns give their power and authority to the little horn. They will make war with the Lamb, Jesus, and He will overcome them. Read Revelation 19.

  • 12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.” - Rev. 17:12-14 NKJV

The beast is important because it reveals that the last secular kingdom has two phases represented by the seventh and eighth heads caused by the seventh head being wounded and coming back as the eighth head (kingdom).

The Roman Empire existed when Revelation was written. Therefore the phrase "one is" refers to the Roman Empire. There is only one empire after the Jewish diaspora and it has two phases: the seventh, the wounding, and then the eighth that is "of the seven". We are in the period of the wounding. The 10 horns (military authorities) were in the UN Security Council rotating membership when it began in 1945. The little horn will come up among the 10 for a total of 11.

There are 5 permanent members: The United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China. Two of the permanent members will leave with three permanent members remaining. The little horn (man of lawlessness) will remove the three (7:8). The 10 will eventually give their power and authority to the little horn (Rev. 17:12-14).

When Israel Exists One of These Kingdoms Is Always In Existence

In the two symbols above, there is only one secular kingdom after the Roman Empire and the Jewish diaspora. It is the iron and clay divided kingdom, the EU-UN, (Dan. 2:41-43). It is also represented by the seventh and eighth heads on the beast.

The divided kingdom has two phases: the seventh head, followed by the wounding, and then the eighth head (kingdom) that is "of the seven" (Rev. 13:3, 17:10-11). We are now in the period of the wounding. I do not know how long the wounding lasts. The eighth head (kingdom) lasts for 3-1/2 years (Rev;. 13:5).

Then Jesus will return and the nations will be judged according to their treatment of his brethren. Those who pass will inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world. Those who fail will go into everlasting punishment (Matt. 25:31-46).

The kingdom of God will fill the earth (Dan. 2:44).

The deadly wounding of the 7th head (EU-UN). We are apparently in the beginning of this period.
The seven year Jerusalem covenant will take place duirng this period.
  8. EU-UN W/10 HORNS (military authorities)   The deadly wound is healed.
This phase of the EU-UN lasts 3-1/2 years (Rev. 13:5).

THE KINGDOM OF GOD                                                                                                                 THE STONE

This kingdom is given to the Son of Man, Jesus, and fills the earth (Dan. 7:13-14).

Four References To The Beast With 7 Heads & 10 Horns

Four References:  Revelation 12, 13, 17, & Daniel 7

Revelation 12

The Red Dragon With Seven Heads (Kingdoms) And 10 Horns (Authorities)

                   The Woman, Israel

  • 1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;
2 and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.
The red dragon, Satan, drew a third of the angels to the earth. He stood before Israel to kill her child, Jesus.
3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.
4 And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
Jesus was caught up to God and to His throne. Israel will flee into the wilderness for 1,260 days.
5 And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
Michael and his angels throw Satan and his angels down to the earth.
7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war,
8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
The kingdom of God and the authority of Christ has come to the earth (Rev. 11:15).
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,
“Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he
who accuses them before our God day and night.
They overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. He know that he only has a short time left.
11 “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
12 “For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”
When Satan sees that he has been thrown to the earth, he will persecute Israel.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.
The two wings of the great eagle (US?) flew Israel into the wilderness where she is nourished for 3-1/2 years.
14 But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
15 And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth.
Satan the dragon will made war against Christians.
17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. - Rev. 12:1—17 NASB

Satan, the beast with seven heads (kingdoms) and 10 horns (kings, authorities) is referred to as the red dragon in Revelation 12. Apparently the system of kingdoms was given to him after Adam listened to Satan and ate the forbidden fruit. He may have lost full control of the kingdoms after the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus in 33 AD until the eighth head (EU-UN) is restored for 3-1/2 years (see Revelation 17:11). Satan then will be put away for 1,000 years (Rev. 20:1-2). Then after being released for a short while, he will be thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:10)

When Satan is thrown to the earth he persecutes Israel. When Israel is given refuge in the wilderness. He then makes war with the Christians (Rev. 12:13-17 above). This takes place during the eighth head (kingdom) which lasts for only 3-1/2 years (Rev. 13:5).

Revelation 13

The Dragon, Satan, Stood On Sand of The Seashore

The Beast From The Sea - The UN

  • 1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.
2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.
One of the heads, the 7th head, is wounded and becomes the 8th head when the wound is healed.
Satan and the beast (antichrist) are worshiped.
    3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast;
4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?”
The 8th head (kingdom) was given a mouth (beast, antichrist) speaking blasphemies and 3-1/2 years was given to him.
5 There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.
He, the antichrist, makes war with the saints and overcomes them. He will be given authority over every nation.
7 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10 If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. - Rev. 13:1-10 NASB

The beast from the sea may be a reference the the United Nations. It is not from the land of Europe but from the sea. The 10 horns probably refer to the rotating members of the UN Security Council. This is also the fourth beast in Revelation 17.

  • Like a leopard (Germany - Dan. 7). This may refer to Germany that was split between the East and West Germany. Likewise there is a wounding of the divided kingdom (Rev. 13:3).
  • Feet like a bear (Russia - Dan. 7).  This may refer to Russian troops or some means of travel.
  • Mouth of a lion (United Kingdom - Dan. 7).  This may refer to the use of  the English language.

Then A Beast With Two Horns Came Out Up of The Earth (Europe) - The EU

This one also refers to the false profit (Rev. 19:20).

  • 11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon.
12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.
The false profit performs great signs in the presence of the beast (antichrist).
He tells those on the earth to make an image of the beast (antichrist) to worship the image. The image may be a computer image.
13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men.
14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life.
15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
The false profit causes all to receive the mark of the beast for buying and selling. His number is 666.
Note that those who receive this mark will be thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 14:9-10)
16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. - Rev. 13:11-18 NASB

Since John received Revelation on the Greek island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea off the coast of the continent of Europe, the land (earth), This kingdom probably is in Europe. Since the EU is part of the divided kingdom (EU-UN), this may refer to Vatican City - the harlot city in Revelation 17. The beast can also refer to the false prophet.

The two horns are like a lamb. They may refer to military leaders that do not have much power.

Revelation 17

The Scarlet Beast (Satan) With Seven Heads (Kingdoms) And 10 Horns (Authorities)

  • 3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5 This title was written on her forehead:
    MYSTERY
    BABYLON THE GREAT
    THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
This city is drunk with the blood of the saints. She rides the beast with 7 heads and 10 horns. This may refer to financial support.
6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
The beast (Satan) will come out of the abyss and go to his destruction (Rev. 20:1-3,10).
8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.
The harlot city sits on seven hills
9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.
The seven kings stand for seven kingdoms. The eighth kingdom is of the seventh kingdom.
10 They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. 11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.
The 10 horns (authorities) give their power and authority to the beast (antichrist)
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
The harlot system is located in many nations.
15 Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. 16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God’s words are fulfilled. 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”  - Rev. 17:3-18 NIV

The scarlet woman riding the beast is a harlot city - meaning that she has not remained faithful to her God. She is the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth - meaning she has spread her harlotry throughout the earth.

This city is riding the beast - the secular kingdom with international power. Therefore it seems to be dependent on the international power. The 10 horns will burn it (Rev. 17:12-18).

The Holy See has permanent observer state status at the UN in 1964. The Holy See refers to the papacy and papal court of the Roman Catholic Church at Vatican City in Rome.

Daniel 7

Four Beasts (Kingdoms)

The Fourth Beast Has 10 Horns

  • In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.
2 Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.
First beast:  Like a lion - United Kingdom
  • 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.
Second Beast:  Like a bear - Russia
“And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’
Third Beast:  Like a leopard - Germany
6 “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.
The Fourth Beast (Kingdom) Has 10 Horns
A little horn comes up among the 10 horns (rotating horns) and removes three of the first horns (the permanent horns).
7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. 8 I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words. - Dan. 7:1-8 NKJV
The Ancient of Days was seated, the court was seated, and the books were opened.
    9 “I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire;
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. - Dan. 7:9-10 NKJV

The Son of Man, Jesus, was given dominion, glory, and a kingdom.
11 “I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame. 12 As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
13 “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.
14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed. - Dan. 7:11-14 NKJV
              The Interpretation
15 “I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. 16 I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things: 17 ‘Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth. 18 But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’
19 “Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, which devoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet; 20 and the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.
21 “I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.
23 “Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces.
24 The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings.
25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.
The court Is seated and judgments are pronounced.
26 ‘But the court shall be seated, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and destroy it forever.
27 Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’ - Dan. 7:15-27 NKJV

It is important to note that Daniel 7 is about a court in which the Ancient of Days is seated. The four kingdoms that are judged are kingdoms that exist at the end of the age - not ancient kingdoms. The first three beasts (kingdoms) are allowed to continue for a while, but the fourth beast with 10 horns is destroyed. The lion represents the United Kingdom. The bear represents The United Kingdom. The leopard represent Germany. The three will be allowed to continue for a while when Jesus returns.

The fourth beast, the dreadful beast with 10 horns, represents the divided kingdom - the EU and UN working together. It will be destroyed when Jesus returns.

The seven heads are not mentioned here probably because it is in the time of the last head (kingdom).

Revelation 13 - This is puzzling

It is very interesting to note that his beast (kingdom) is described in Revelation 13.

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.

2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard,

his feet were like the feet of a bear,

and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. - Rev. 13:1-2 NKJV

These are the same three beast mentioned in Daniel 7. What this means is that the fourth beast (kingdom) is a combination of the first three beasts (kingdoms). This is puzzling because in Daniel 2 the last kingdom is a combination of two world powers: iron - EU and clay - UN.

First beast like a lion  -  United Kingdom - Dan. 7:4

Stood up like a man  -  Magna Carta

Eagle wings torn off  -  United States gained independence

Second beast like a bear  -  Russia - Dan. 7:5

Three ribs:

 1 Crimea ?

 2 ?

 3 ?

Third beast like a leopard - Germany - Dan. 7:6

Four Heads:

1 First Reich - German Empire  1871-1918.  Presided over by an Emperor from the Prussian House of Hohenzollern. Kaiser Wilhelm I, Frederick III, and Wilhelm II were the emperors.

2 Second Reich - Weiman Republic  -  1919-1933.  Friedrich Ebert and Paul von Hindenburg were the presidents.

3 Third Reich  -  Nazi Germany  -  1933-1945.  Adolf Hitler was Fuhrer and Chancellor. Germany was divided into East Germany and West Germany after W.W.II.

4 Fourth Reich  -  Germany  -  1990.   In 1973 the German Federal Constitutional Court ruled that according to the law of the Federal German Republic (West Germany), it was a continuation of the German Reich (Empire) established in 1871.

5 East and West Germany were reunited in 1990. Germany's deadly wound was healed.

This Beast (Garmany) Has Four Bird Wings:

When France attacked Prussia in 1870, four South German states joined with Prussian forces of the North German Confederation, and the German Empire was formed in 1871.

1. Baden                                        2. Württemberg

                              Prussia

3. Hessen-Darmstadt                    4. Bavaria

The Fourth Beast With 10 Horns - Characteristics - EU-UN - Dan. 7:7-8, 19-26

  • Fourth beast - Terrible Beast - Has 10 horns - Dan. 7:7,24
  • ----  Iron teeth: Roman - International Criminal Court ? or ICJ in The Hague? - Dan. 7:7,19
  • ----  Bronze claws: Greek  - democracy (the members vote) ? - Dan. 7:19
  • This kingdom will devour the whole earth (over all nations) - Dan. 7:23.
  • A little horn (the antichrist) speaking pompous words comes up among ten other horns. His appearance is greater than his fellows (Dan. 7:20).He will subdue or remove three previous horns.  - Dan. 7:8,24-25   (A forerunner of the antichrist is the little horn in Daniel 8:9-14. He is Antiochus Epiphanes of Syria from the Seleucid branch of the Greek Empire. The antichrist is in Dan. 8:23-25.)
  • He made war against the saints, and prevailed against them until the Ancient of Days came. - Dan. 7:21-22
  • He (antichrist) will intend to change times and law - Dan. 7:25
  • The saints (Jews?) will be given into his hands for 3-1/2 years (time, times, and half a time). - Dan.7:25
  • The Ancient of Days, the Father, was seated and the court was seated. The fourth beast or kingdom was destroyed, but the first three were allowed to continue for a while. - Dan. 7:9-12

The Antichrist - The Man of Lawlessness

Titles of The Antichrist

  • Little Horn (Dan. 7:8)
  • Man of sin, son of perdition, lawless one, the man of lawlessness (2 Thess. 2:3, 8-9)
  • Antichrist (1 John 2:18)
  • Beast (Rev. 13:4, 19:20)
  • King (Dan. 8:23, 11:36)  He will magnify himself above every god, but will honor a god of fortresses (Dan. 11:36-39).
  • The ruler (prince) who will come (Dan. 9:26-27).

The Man of Lawlessness (Little Horn) Probably Comes Up In The EU-UN (UN Security Council)

The kingdom that existed in 1948 when Israel became a nation again was the UN. The EU became an observer came later. There was no caliphate at that time.

The little horn that comes up among the ten horns in Daniel 7 will persecute the saints for 3-1/2 years  (Dan. 7:25, Rev. 13:5-7). The king (little horn, man of lawlessness, antichrist) in Daniel 11 will magnify himself above all gods, but he will honor a god of fortresses (Allah) - a god his fathers did not know. He will act against the strongest fortresses with this god. The beast In Revelation 19, the man of lawlessness, will be thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:20).

The UN Security Council Is made up of five permanent members: United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China. It also consists of 10 rotating members - two groups of five each. So five members rotate every year.

The man of lawlessness (antichrist) will probably come up among the 10 rotating members, Two of the five permanent members will have dropped out for some reason and the antichrist (little horn) will remove the three remaining permanent members  (Dan. 7:8, 19-20, 24-25).

References To The Antichrist - Man of Lawlessness

The antichrist is referred to in the following verses as antichrist, the little horn, the king, the prince to come, the man of lawlessness, a mouth, and the beast.

1 John - Antichrist

The antichrist denies the Father and the Son.

  • 18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. - 1 John 2:18-23 NKJV

Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.

  • Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. - 1 John 4:1-6 NKJV

2 John - Antichrist

Beware of antichrist deceivers.

  • 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. - 2 John 7-11 NKJV

The verses in first and second John define antichrist and the antichrist spirit.

Daniel 7 - The Little Horn

The little  horn will come up among 10 horns. He will remove three of the first horns.

These three horns are apparently from a different group because the 10 burn the harlot city Babylon (Rev. 17:12-18).

  • 7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. - Dan. 7:7-8 NKJV

These verses reveal that the little horn (antichrist) will come up among 10 horns (authorities). He will remove three of the first horns (not the 10). This may refer to the 10 rotating members of the UN Security Council, the military and the most powerful body in the UN. There are five permanent members of the Security Council: United states, France, United Kingdom, Russia, and China. France and the UK may be removed if the EU becomes a political union with full member ship in the UN. This would leave three permanent members of the UN Security Council. These may be the three that are pulled out by the little horn.

Daniel 8 - The King Out of The Area of The Greek Empire

The male goat symbolizes the Greek Empire.

  • 20 The ram which you saw, having the two horns—they are the kings of Media and Persia. 21 And the male goat is the kingdom of Greece. The large horn that is between its eyes is the first king. 22 As for the broken horn and the four that stood up in its place, four kingdoms shall arise out of that nation, but not with its power.
23   “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. 24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; he shall destroy fearfully, and shall prosper and thrive; he shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.
25 “Through his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without human means. - Dan. 8:20-25 NKJV

In the latter time a king shall arise out of one of the four divisions of the Greek Empire. He will destroy the mighty and the holy people. He shall rise against the Prince of princes; but he will be broken without human means.

Daniel 9 - The Prince Who Is To Come

The Prince To Come

He will confirm a seven year covenant involving Jerusalem and the Jewish people.

In the middle of the covenant he will set up the abomination of desolation in the temple.

  • 26  “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27  Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.” - Dan. 9:26-27 NKJV

The "prince who is to come" will confirm a covenant with many for seven years, but in the middle of the seven years he will put a stop to sacrifices and offering. On a wing of the temple he will set the abomination that causes desolation until the end that is pured out on him. The people (the army came out of ) of the prince to come (antichrist) will destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary

Daniel 11 - The King Who Exalts Himself Above All Gods

He will honor a god of fortresses (Allah) - a god his fathers did not know.

He will attack the strongest fortresses (a military stronghold) with the help of a foreign god. He is in military operations.

  • 36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place. 37 He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.
40 “At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Nubians in submission. 44 But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. 45 He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him. -  Dan. 11:36-45 NIV

2 Thessalonians - The Man of Lawlessness

The day of the Lord will not come until the man of lawlessness is revealed.

  • Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. - 2 Thess. 2:1-12 NIV

Note that the day of the Lord (a day of wrath) will not come until the lawless one (antichrist) is revealed. This day apparently is the great tribulation described in Matthew 24:15-24. The great tribulation takes place when you see the abomination standing in the holy place.

The abomination take place in the middle of a seven year Jerusalem covenant (Dan. 9:24-27).

Revelation 13 - The Beast - Mouth

The antichrist is from  the beast rising up out of the sea (United Nations).

The mouth (antichrist) speaks blasphemies against God, he overcomes the saints, and  has authority over every nation

  • Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. - Rev. 13:1-8 NKJV

Remember that in Revelation 17 it says that the beast has seven heads - five have fallen, one is, and one is to come. When Revelation was written was the Roman Empire was the beast that is and the sixth kingdom (head). The sixth kingdom (head) will be wounded and when it is healed it becomes the eighth kingdom

The beast from the sea was given a mouth speaking blasphemies. The word 'beast' refers to the king and kingdom both here. The mouth is the antichrist. He was granted to make war with the saints and to overcome them. He was also given authority over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb worshiped him.

The false profit is from the beast coming out of the earth (European Union).

  • 11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth—by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. - Rev. 13:11-18 NKJV

The beast coming out of the earth refers to the false profit and the kingdom that he is from (EU). He causes those on the earth to make an image to the beast (antichrist) and he caused the image to have breath that the image could speak. He also caused those who would not worship the image to be killed. He causes all to receive a mark on their right hand or forehead for buying and selling.

Revelation 17 - The Beast (Antichrist)

The 10 horns give their power and authority to the beast (antichrist).

  • 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.” - Rev. 17:11-18 NKJV

The way I see it is the term "beast" refers both to Satan, who is going to perdition; the antichrist, who the horns give their power to; and also to the seventh and eighth kingdoms.

Revelation 19 - The Beast (Antichrist)

The beast (antichrist) and the false profit are thrown Into the lake of fire when Jesus returns to rule the earth.

  • 19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. - Rev. 19:19-21 NKJV

The beast and false profit are thrown into the lake of fire when Jesus returns. Note that the armies that are gathered to make war with Jesus are killed and the the birds are filled with their flesh.
