They, the iron (EU) and clay (UN), combine in the seed of men

(the divided kingdom) - the last secular kingdom.

41  “In that you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but it will have in it the toughness of iron, inasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with common clay.

42 “As the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle.

43 “And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery. - Dan. 2:41-43 NASB

Second Coming

  1. Second Coming
  2. When Jeshua Returns
  3. After The 1,000 Years

How can you tell the difference between the gathering (rapture) and the second coming?

When Jesus comes to gather the saints in the air (rapture) all the tribes on the earth will mourn (Matt. 24:30).

When Jesus comes with the armies of heaven at the second coming armies will be waiting to fight Him (Rev. 19:17:21).

Second Coming

Rev. 19:11-21

Jesus Returns At The Second Coming With The Armies From Heaven Followed Him

The Kings of The Earth And Their Armies Have Gathered To Make War Against Jesus

The Beast (Man of Sin) And The False Prophet Are Cast Into The Lake of Fire

He Treads The Winepress of The Wrath of God (see Rev. 14:17-20)

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”
19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. - Rev. 19:11-21 NKJV

Luke 17:26-29

When Jesus Returns It Will Be Like The Days of Noah And The Days of Lot

  • 26 "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man. 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed." - Luke 17:26-29 NKJV

Like The Days of Noah

The days of the coming of the Son of man will be like the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37, Luke 17:26) - they ate, drank and married.

The days of Noah - wickedness, evil thoughts continually (Gen. 6:5), Violence (Gen. 6:11)

Like The Days of Lot

When the Son of Man is revealed it will be like the days of Lot (Luke 17:28) - they ate, drank, bought, sold, and planted.

The days of Lot - grievous sin (Gen. 18:20)

In Genesis the days of Noah were filled with violence and mans thoughts were on evil continually (Gen. 6:5,11).

The days of Lot were filled with grievous sin (Gen. 18:20, 19:24). Sodom had gross homosexuality (Gen. 19:4-11, 24-25).

Jesus Returns To Gather His Elect In The Air.  Later When He Return To Rule The Earth Armies Are Waiting To Fight Him

When Jesus comes to gather His saints to meet Him in the air (rapture, rescue from the wrath) after tribulation, all the tribes of the earth will mourn (Matt. 24:30)

When Jesus returns to rule the earth after the great tribulation (day of the Lord) at His second coming armies will be waiting to make war with Him. (Rev. 19:19)

Rev. 16:12-16

The Kings of The Earth And The Whole World Gather For Battle At Armageddon

  • 12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. - Rev. 16:12-16 NKJV

Joel 3:1-2

God Will Gather All Nations To The Valley of Jehoshaphat (The Lord Judges)

They Scattered Israel Among The Nations And Divided Up His Land

1 “For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 2  I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land." - Joel 3:1-2 NIV

Joel 2:31-32

Whoever Calls On The Name of The Lord Will Be Delivered

On Mount Zion And In Jerusalem There Will Be Those Who Escape

  • 31  “The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. 32  “And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be delivered; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls. - Joel 2:31-32 NASB

 Zech. 14:1-9

Jerusalem Will Be Captured - Half of The City Will Go Into Exile - They Will Flee By The Mountain Valley

Then The Lord Will Come With The Holy Ones, The Lord Will Be King Over The Whole Earth

  • A day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided among you. 2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.
3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
6 On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. 7 It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime—a day known to the LORD. When evening comes, there will be light. 8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter. 9 The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name. - Zech. 14:1-9 NIV

Zech. 14:12-15

The Lord Will Strike The Nations That Fought Against Jerusalem

Their Flesh Will Rot While They Are Still Standing On Their Feet

  • 12 This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day men will be stricken by the LORD with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other. 14 Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. 15 A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps. - Zech. 14:12-15 NIV

Jerusalem will be captured and then the Lord will fight against those nations. He will set His feet on the Mount of Olives. Some of the armies that have gathered at Armageddon may go to Jerusalem. It seems like these two events are tied together.

Zech. 12:2-10

The Lord Will Save The Tents of Judah First And Then Jerusalem

The Lord Will Make Jerusalem A Heavy Stone For All Peoples

  • 2 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. 3 It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. 4 “In that day,” declares the Lord, “I will strike every horse with bewilderment and his rider with madness. But I will watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘A strong support for us are the inhabitants of Jerusalem through the Lord of hosts, their God.’ "
6 “In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right hand and on the left all the surrounding peoples, while the inhabitants of Jerusalem again dwell on their own sites in Jerusalem.
7 “The Lord also will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be magnified above Judah. 8 “In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord before them. 9 “And in that day I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
They Will Look On Me Whom They Have Pierced And They Will Mourn
10 “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. - Zech. 12:2-10 NASB

When Jeshua Returns

Matthew 25:31-46

Judgement of the Gentiles

  • 31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” - Matt. 25:31-46 NKJV

Rev. 20:1-6

Satan Will Be Bound And Thrown Into The Abyss For 1,000 Years

  • And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
The Resurrection of Those Who Were Beheaded For Their Testimony For Jesus
They Came To Life And Reigned With Christ For 1,000 Years
4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. - Rev. 20:1-6 NIV

2 Timothy 4:1-2

Jesus Will Judge The Living And The Dead At His Appearing And His Kingdom (The Second Coming)

I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. - 2 Tim. 4:1-2 NKJV

After The 1,000 Years

Rev. 20:7-10

After The 1,000 Years

Satan Will Be Thrown Into The Lake of Fire Where The Beast And False Prophet Are

They Will Be Tormented Day And Night Forever And Ever

  • 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. - Rev. 20:7-10 NKJV

Anyone Not Found Written In The Book of Life Was Cast Into The Lake of Fire

Rev. 20:11-15

The Great White Throne Judgment

The Dead Were Judged According To Their Works

Death And Hades Were Thrown Into The Lake of Fire - This Is The Second Death

  • 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. - Rev. 20:11-15 NKJV

2 Peter 3:10-13

A New Heaven And Earth After The 1,000 Year Reign of Christ

  • 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. - 2 Peter 3:10-13 NIV

The day of the Lord (a time of wrath) will come like a thief. There is great tribulation during this period (Matt. 24:15-21).

The verses above are describing what takes place after the 1,000 year reign of Christ (Rev. 21:1-8). The new heaven and new earth will come after the 1,000 year reign of Christ.

After the 1,000 years there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The holy city, New Jerusalem, will come down out of heaven from God, as a bride adorned for her husband. An angel showed John the Lamb’s wife, Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God. The city did not need the sun or moon because the glory of God illuminated it. Only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall enter it. There was a crystal clear river of water of life. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river was a tree of life that bore twelve  fruits. Each tree yielded its fruit every month, and the leaves were for healing of the nations (Rev. 21:9-27, 22:1-5).
